Handheld self portraits with the 24-70mm f/2.8L. SOOC except for cropping. Camera set to B&W. I learned that RAW files still shoot in color? What’s up with that? I chose B&W here because we had a large yellow paper lantern on, and it kinda makes everyone look like The Simpsons.

I took almost 100 pics of myself this day. I kept only a handful. I’m lying on the floor with the flash on a gorillapod above my head. I was exhausted this day, so lying down for 365 made sense.

Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens… was packed! I shot in RAW and painstakingly suffered thru my lack of knowledge about the programs I have chosen to use. I have emerged recognizing the difference between RAW and JPG entirely. However, my workflow is all out of wack now. At least the subject was beautiful to work with. So much bokeh! All taken with the EF-S 60mm f/2.8...
